Morning Safari Option

Begin your adventure with an early pickup from your hotel in Kandy. Enjoy a scenic drive towards Minneriya National Park, known for its large elephant herds, especially during the dry season.
7:00 AM – Arrival at Minneriya National Park

Arrive at the park and meet your experienced guide. You’ll be briefed on the park’s wildlife, and your safari begins immediately.
7:15 AM – Safari Ride Begins

Hop onto a 4x4 jeep for an exciting safari through the park. Minneriya is a prime location to spot herds of wild elephants, but keep an eye out for other animals like spotted deer, monkeys. Your guide will ensure you get the best views and share fascinating insights about the park’s flora and fauna.
9:00 AM – Nature Walk & Birdwatching (Optional)

After the jeep safari, enjoy a short nature walk along the park’s trails, perfect for birdwatching. Minneriya is home to various bird species, including migratory birds, making it an excellent stop for bird enthusiasts.
9:30 AM – Return to the Entrance

After exploring the park, head back to the entrance where your vehicle will be waiting for the journey back.
10:00 AM – Departure from Minneriya

Depart the park and begin your drive back to Kandy, taking in the scenic beauty of the surrounding area.
1:00PM – Arrival Back in Kandy

You’ll be dropped back at your hotel in Kandy, completing your unforgettable half-day safari experience.
